¡Hola y'all!
Wow, I feel like soo much has happened this week! So let's see to start off, last Monday I got to talk to some of my best amigas bc they happened to be at my house j chillin with my family when I called, so that was so so good. We also had a little zone Christmas party at the mission office so we got to see President and Sister Golden, love those guys:)
On Christmas Eve(!) we started teaching a new amiga named Bertha! She's super cool and so funny and is really trying to make a better life for herself and we love that. We also got to do some service!! We went to this homeless shelter in Tustin, and we got to serve some good dinner with some bomb dessert, and all of the people there were so sweet and so grateful and it really just made me so so grateful for all the ways that I've been blessed in my life:)
On Christmas(!!) oh my goodness we had so much fun! I literally love Christmas sooo much. But we had a little meeting with our whole zone, and each district leader went up and did a little lesson about Christ, and then a few people were able to share their testimonies about Him. I shared a little bit of mine on Facebook, so hopefully, y'all were able to see it! But after that, Hermana Franklin came home and opened all of our cute little presents from our amazing friends and families. And then we got to talk to our families and wow I just love mine so much. That night we went to our Bishop's house and had a good ole Christmas FEAST with some champurrado también. It was so good and they are so sweet.
On Thursday our boy Eduardo passed his little interview to be baptized and he was SO hyped for it:) and then on Friday, we found 4 new people to teach!! They are so cool. But we met the lady, Alma, on Thursday and she told us to come back Friday to play a game and teach a bunch of the little girls that lived around there, so we came back with one of my favorite games, Jump to Jesus, and taught 6 little girls about Jesus and the love that He has for them. I love love love teaching little kids y'all, and these girls are so smart and sweet. Literally so much fun.
On Saturday we got our transfer email, and Hermana Franklin and I are holding it down here in Santa Ana for another transfer and I'm super pumped:) On Sunday after church we went by our amigos Norfanelia and Felipe and brought them a few things for Christmas from the super sweet Masoner family that came down to Anaheim for a little bit. Norfanelia and Felipe and their hijos were all so happy and grateful for all of it. Just seeing their little son Poncho light up when he was opening one little bag was so cool. I love Christmas:)
But yeah and the highlight of the week was Eduardo's baptism!! It was super crazy and un poquito stressful at first though because the water was freezing cold so one of the Hermanos kept turning it off to wait and see if he could fix it, but like it takes a long time to fill up a whole font so we were like No Hermano, it's okay if the water is cold, but he didn't believe us. Also like every missionary ever is sick, so we were scrambling trying to find someone to teach the Restoration at it. BUT of course, everything worked out:) someone figured out how to turn the water heater on, Hermana Franklin and I taught the Restoration, and Eduardo was/is the cutest baptized boy on the planet. I love being a missionary and I love all of y'all so much!! I hope everyone has a super awesome New Year and that we're all setting goals to better ourselves and the lives of those around us!!
Con Amor,
Hermana Brayton:)
