¡hola y'all!
How is everyone doing? So so well I hope:) The first week here in Costa Mesa has been good, but not super duper interesting hahah
But a ver, there was a baptism here this week on Thursday and it was sooo cute:) Hermana Nitta and I popped in just in time to plan the whole thing, and meet sweet Maria just a few times before, but it was so good! She was so happy, it was so precious and pure:)
Now though there isn't a ton happening, so Hermana Nitta and I are going to be putting in some hard work to find new amigos and have fun with it all. Oh we did get to go drop off some pamphlets to people that don't have updated phone numbers, and it was sooo fun actually finding people's apartments and talking to them for a second.
This week I read a talk from M Russell Ballard called "Be Anxiously Engaged," and it is muy muy good. He compares us to honeybees, and talks about how as we all strive and work hard to do our part, amazing things are accomplished and the world is really just better. In it, he says, "What would be the cumulative effect of millions of small, compassionate acts performed daily by us bc of our heartfelt Christian love for others? . . . There is power in our love for God and for His children, and when that love is tangibly manifest in millions of acts of Christian kindness, it will sweeten and nourish the world with the life-sustaining nectar of faith, hope, and charity." So good, right? And so so true!! Let's be kind people this week and show some love to people around us:)
