¡hola y'all!!!
How is everyone doing?? SO well I hope!! This week was such a good one over here!! So many super powerful, spiritual moments with our lovely amigos:') and we're getting so close with them too. There's not one single doubt in my mind that our paths are all crossing for a definite divine reason!
The highlight for surely was when we had the best lesson maybe of my whole life with our buddy Atenco on Thursday, and we taught alllll about baptism. Then after, we asked if he wanted to be baptized, and he said yes!! We're shooting for Oct. 8th (which is also Hermana Nitta's bday!!) and we could NOT be more excited for him. He's the biggest sweetie pie, and even though we only ever have video calls with them, the spirit is also SO strong. I love being a missionary wow.
Also on Thursday we met the sweetest new couple from El Salvador and did some service for them. We cleaned out their whole back yard. It was a fun time:) Oh and on Saturday we went on exchanges and I got to go walk some dogs for service, so ya saben que I was too excited!!
And then last but not least, the cherry on top, WE FINALLY WENT BACK TO CHURCH!!! It was so so good:)) only about 20 people came bc not everyone is comfy with it yet, but it was just refreshing being back in the chapel again and listening to some hymns. I loved every second of it:')
Okay now for some spiritual thoughts, I read Ether 12 this week which is always suuuch a good chapter, but I want to talk about what we read in Come, Follow Me this week. In 3 Nephi 12-14, Jesus is speaking to the people in ancient America, and he's basically giving the sermon on the mount to them, and wow there are literally so many things to learn and talk about. But in chapter 13 (or compare to Matthew 6) he talks about our focuses on life. He says, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." So basically, our treasure, our eyes, our focus, however you want to say it, will determine who and how we are. If we seek for light, we will be filled with light. If we seek for evil, we will be filled with evil. What are you seeking? What do you want your soul to be filled with? Do you know where to find it? Just some questions to ponder:)
Well I hope that y'all just have the best week ever, and that you keep seeking what's good:) I love you, Jesus loves you, God loves you, don't forget it!
Con amor,
Hermana Brayton 😊
